Qujiang,,,,,,,, once the most renowned royal garden in Chinese history ,,,,,,,,rose in Qin and Han dynasty,,,,,,,, became most prosperous in Sui and Tang dynasty and set a precedent of Chinese classical gardens.The natural lake scenery was known as ¡°Gai Zhou¡± which means the area of water in Qin dynasty In Han dynasty,,,,,,,,Qujiang got the beautiful name-Qujiang ,,,,,,,, by its winding course  just like the Guangling River. In Tang dynasty ,,,,,,,,it was laid out as imperial garden.People channeled  water from the Zhong Nan Mountain into it ,,,,,,,,enlarged the lake and built chains of towers and pavilions around it. Such as  Lotus Garden,,,,,,,, Apricot Garden ,,,,,,,, Propitious Tower,,,,,,,, Hanwu Spring ,,,,,,,,Cien Temple and Big Wild Goose Pagoda,,,,,,,, etc. Lots of legends and poems about this area  have been passed down from generation to generation in china and abroad,,,,,,,, such as  Qujiang Imperial Riverside Banquet ,,,,,,,,Big Wild Goose Pagoda Inscription,,,,,,,,etc.At present ,,,,,,,, the love story of a couple happened in a cave dwelling ,,,,,,,,Big Wild Goose Pagoda,,,,,,,, Grave of the Junior Emperor of Qin Dynasty and other scenic places  attract millions of tourists from China and overseas every year to visit Qujiang area.
